Are you from those not lucky ones – whatever you eat, it feels like it’s getting stuck on your belly, booty, arms…? You have been trying but nothing was working for you? So many kinds of short term diets, skipping meals, starving yourself… But nothing works! Even if it works, you lose weight but you gain it back, usually with few kilograms extra!
You started being unsatisfied with yourself, you don’t like the way you look, the way you feel. It affects your self-esteem. It makes you feel sad, even depressed?! You become sensitive while other people comment you (even thought that’s rude, that’s what some people do). You wonder what is the trick, what are you doing wrong?! This probably sounds familiar to you. Are you tired from this?
Do you want to lose weight fast and easy without gaining it back?
Well, I will have to disappoint you because there is no fast and easy way to lose weight. Actually there is, it is one of the things that I have mentioned above (short term diets, starving yourself, skipping the meals)… But all those ways are wrong and unhealthy. Now, look at the things from this perspective… let me ask you few questions:
How long did it take for you to get your faculty degree or any other form of education (you must have been thinking what this guy is talking about…but let me finish)? More than fifteen years. You put hard work and effort. All those books, stress during examination period, sleepless nights! This does not sound easy.
Or how long did it take for you to get promoted at work – probably few years!? You were working hard, you were dedicated, discipline, probably no weekends, no free time…
This analogy looks weird, but I hope you got my point. Anything that we know, that we are good at, took time and effort for us learn it. Is it walking, driving a bike, playing guitar, cooking etc. It’s a process and it takes time, effort and discipline.
At the end, let me ask you one more question: How long did it take for you to gain all those extra kilograms? Am sure it’s not one month, two months. It probably took much longer. So why do you think it’s possible to lose it fast? That’s not how it works!
Weight loss is a process that requires discipline and dedication. First, start with small steps, change you bad eating habits. Eating junk food, or skipping the meals or drinking to much carbonated drinks, or eating huge amounts of food…try to reduce and eventually you will stop with all those bad eating habits completely.
Ask for a help from nutritionist if needed. For better results, start with some kind of physical activity. Be active! Whenever you can, try not to use elevator. If your working place is close, take a walk skip the car. Do some house jobs by yourself… Set all these things as MUST, same as you need to sleep, brush your teeth, go to work, pay bills… Set good eating habits and working out same was – as MUST! Make a schedule and stick to it.
Remember that a weight loss is not a quick fix. It is a lifestyle! It might be hard at the beginning, but once you get used to it, you will notice that this is the natural rhythm that your body has and you will feel full of energy, fit and healthy.
